  • Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University and Department of Neurology, Aarhus University Hospital.

The Danish Pain Research Center (DPRC) is directed by Professor Nanna Brix Finnerup. The center is a university-based clinical research unit under Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University and is affiliated with Department of Neurology, Aarhus University Hospital.  The center was founded in 1994 by Professor Troels Staehelin Jensen. The mission of DPRC is to increase our understanding of acute and chronic pain mechanisms. We are particularly interested in the somatosensory nervous system and the pathophysiology and therapy of neuropathic pain. We focus on translational and clinical research including mechanism-based clinical trials.
