DANDRITE Postdoc Receives Young Researcher Award from the Parkinson’s Association
Saturday November 2nd 2024, the Danish Parkinson’s Association held its annual research event, highlighting current research in Parkinson's disease. Alongside research presentations, several grants and awards were distributed, including the Young Researcher Award. This year, the honor goes to Nanna Møller Jensen, a postdoctoral researcher in Poul Henning Jensen's group.
The award honors young researchers who make significant contributions to Parkinson’s disease research. Nanna Møller Jensen’s work on micro-aggregates of alpha-synuclein represents an important advancement in the field.
“It’s a huge boost of confidence to have your research recognized with a prize like this,” says Nanna and continues. “In addition, being given the opportunity to meet up with the patients and feel their engagement in the research and their trust in our work is amazing. It really fuels my desire to put in more effort, so we can advance diagnostics and treatment of these debilitating diseases.”
The award includes a personal prize of 25,000 DKK.
